Duration: 12 months

About the role

This role supports the Enterprise Legal Hold Retention Solution project. The engineer will act as a liaison with Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and vendors to manage the product lifecycle, including fixes, features, and enhancements, while ensuring all non-strategic social and chat products are decommissioned from the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product lifecycle, fixes, features, and enhancements by liaising with various internal teams and external vendors.
  • Oversee workbook management through product JIRAs.
  • Develop low-level designs to meet organizational requirements and security demands.
  • Deploy low-level environments and conduct advanced product testing.
  • Develop documentation and host training sessions to support the transition of new services into operations.
  • Maintain ownership for the accuracy and completeness of all technical documentation.
  • Participate in the review of requirements for technical feasibility and represent technical requirements for new service deployments.
  • Engage in regular requirements meetings to groom the backlog and agree on feature releases.
  • Ensure the decommissioning of all non-strategic social and chat products from the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Enterprise-level engineering experience, preferably within financial institutions.
  • Experience with persistent chat applications such as Mattermost or Rocket Chat hosted on Linux.
  • Extensive experience with cloud-enabled instant messaging platforms (e.g., Symphony, Teams, Slack).
  • Experience with the deployment of applications to mobility frameworks, including MAM and MDM.
  • Exceptional documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira.
  • Ability to work as a team player with individual accountability for deliverables.
  • Clear and methodical communicator who is disciplined, confident, and a critical thinker.
  • Proficient in proactively identifying, mitigating, and resolving risk.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
  • MySQL DBA/Development Experience.
