Permit Specialist

Mungo Homes is hiring a Permit Specialist for its Myrtle Beach, SC market.

Responsibilities

• Create and distribute start packages for all new homes/subdivisions, including building permits, plat plans, plans marked with applicable options, selected options detail sheet, cabinet & flooring sheets, flatwork/sod calculation sheet, and community standard features sheet.
• Request surveyor maps as required.
• Request permits for new starts; submit appropriate fees and pick up permits.
• Track and respond to permitting issues as required.
• Maintain house construction files.
• Travel within the local area as required.
• Request water and sewer certificates and service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to learn KOVA software.
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
• Minimum state‑required automobile insurance.
