About the role

The Permeate Operator is responsible for the processing of permeate into high quality deproteinized whey powder. Agropur values a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented environment where employees can make a real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate hourly checks on assigned equipment and make any necessary adjustments to keep product within customer and organization specifications.
  • Machines Include: Evaporator, Fluid Bed, and Packaging. Checks include: flow rates, temperatures, system pressures, pH, fans speeds, amps readings, moisture, and percent solids.
  • Shutdown, clean, and start up assigned machines on a daily basis or when required.
  • Set up line circuits, silos, and tanks to be CIPed and set up backup for production as required.
  • Load and unload outgoing and incoming trailers. Types of trailers include: Dry cargo, bulk powder, and liquid tanks.
  • Complete needed quality checks for Water Quality, Chemical Concentration, and Foot Formers.
  • Complete tasks as required in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol: Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures. Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Able to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.

Pay

Starting Rate: $27.56/hour

Sunday Double Time: Two pay increases in the first year up to $1.00 and $1.50.

Schedule

2-2-3 6pm to 6am
