About the role
The primary responsibility is to perform routine and complex laboratory tests under the supervision of a medical technologist. This includes preparing specimens, operating specialized equipment, and maintaining accurate records.Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Document test results accurately and promptly.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized laboratory technician program.
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred.
