Permanency Specialist I

About the Role

Adelphoi Village is seeking a full‑time Permanency Specialist to work with families and youth. The specialist will engage and build relationships with youth in foster homes and residential settings, understand their situations, and assist them in achieving reunification and permanency goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build relationships with youth in foster homes and residential settings.
• Assess youth situations and support reunification and permanency planning.
• Schedule work flexibly to align with youth and family availability, including work‑from‑home opportunities.
• Document work thoroughly to support completed tasks.
• Serve as a reliable resource for youth and families.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in child welfare working with youth and families.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related behavioral discipline.

Skills

• Strong one‑on‑one communication abilities.
• Effective documentation and record‑keeping.
• Organizational skills and adherence to work schedules.

Knowledge

• Understanding of the foster care system.
• Familiarity with trauma‑informed practices.
