About the role

Work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals to make a difference every day. As a Perioperative Inventory Specialist I, you'll collaborate with clinical and supply chain teams to ensure essential products are available when and where they're needed most.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance of accurate inventory records for perioperative supplies, including implants, instruments, and consumables.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and perioperative staff to ensure timely replenishment of supplies while minimizing excess stock and associated costs.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing information, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
  • Participate in regular inventory audits to verify stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and identify potential issues requiring corrective action.
  • Execute quarterly cycle counts with team leaders; reconcile discrepancies and educate and consult key users of all entities.
  • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, usage rates, and other relevant metrics to inform decision-making and performance evaluation.
  • Provide training and support to perioperative staff on proper inventory management procedures, including use of inventory management systems and adherence to inventory control policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Grade or Equivalent.
  • Prior experience in inventory management, preferably in a healthcare or perioperative setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software/systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to inventory management in healthcare settings.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.27-$28.50/hr. based on experience.
