Perioperative Inventory Control Specialist
About the Role
The Perioperative Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of inventory management within Perioperative Services. This position is primarily responsible for placing and managing requisitions through the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting surgical operations through timely procurement and supply availability. By leveraging data analytics and collaborating with clinical and supply chain teams, the specialist ensures cost-effective practices, minimizes waste, and contributes to high-quality patient care through seamless material support. Responsibilities
- Place and manage requisitions through the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
- Maintain optimal inventory levels within Perioperative Services
- Support surgical operations through timely procurement and supply availability
- Leverage data analytics to ensure cost-effective practices and minimize waste
- Collaborate with clinical and supply chain teams to support seamless material delivery for patient care
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Computer literate with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Lawson, PeopleSoft)
- Understanding of data analytics entry and use
- 2 years of Inventory/Supply Management experience in Supply Chain or Sterile Processing
