About the role
The Perioperative Assistant - Operating Room supports the surgical team in the operating room setting. This position assists with patient care, equipment setup, and other administrative tasks.Responsibilities
- Assists with sterile technique and instrument preparation
- Supports the surgical team during procedures
- Handles patient transport and positioning
- Assists with maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment
- Performs administrative duties such as charting and documentation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a perioperative training program
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge of operating room protocols and safety standards
