Perioperative Assistant - Full-time, Variable Shift

About the role

Provides support and assistance to nursing personnel by performing tasks to promote efficient turnover of Operating Room (OR) suites. Transports patients to and from Perioperative Services.

Responsibilities

• Mops floor, cleans OR table, changes linen, changes suction canisters, removes trash/dirty linen from room
• Prepares surgical case carts and processes instruments, scopes, and equipment
• Transports patients to and from Perioperative Services
• Ensures proper supply levels and rotates inventory
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
• Nursing student, nurse aide or comparable experience in hospital, nursing home or clinic setting
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy

Qualifications

• Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $30.01. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
