Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists with the assessment of facilities’ current inventory; conducts inventory analysis of materials and products; and evaluates and adjusts required replenishment levels in an appropriate system, to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
  • Conducts physical inventory, including organizing, sorting, and placing materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins, assembling wire racking and shelving, and labeling/re-labeling bins and shelves, as necessary; counts inventory items; and cleans and removes current shelving and supplies. Must be able to lift 35 pounds to assemble shelves/racking, equipment/furniture (as needed), and moving supplies.
  • In collaboration with facility and centralized supply chain personnel, assists with the creation of a facility PAR plan, which includes the number of PARs needed, the establishment of a timeline, and the identification of necessary resources (e.g., handheld devices, shelving, label printers). Effectively communicates with clinical and administrative leadership on a variety of issues.
  • Assists in the design and creation of new PAR systems, including building and layout of new shelving, and/or other storage solutions.
  • Assists with training and providing customer service support to facility users on the two-bin Par Replenishment process and responds to customer inquiries and/or complaints concerning inventories and products.
  • Assists with producing PAR Item Masters, which list key information about inventory items, for the purpose of incorporation into PeopleSoft.
  • Participates in departmental and team meetings, internal/external quality assurance/performance improvement (QA/PI) activities and programs, and facility-wide training, as required.
  • Acts in compliance with all regulatory requirements, to ensure safe working environment.
  • Effectively utilizes Microsoft Office applications and other appropriate computer applications and programs within the scope of professional role and responsibilities.
  • Performs low to medium complexity project duties, while demonstrating the ability to multi-task; performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Average degree from an accredited college or university in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline;
  • High school diploma or its educational equivalent;
  • Two (2) years of full-time satisfactory experience in supply chain management, stock control and inventory, materials support or related area.
