Perfusionist (Part-Time)
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat job title as heading. Do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Remove boilerplate. Preserve all substantive information. Include a section only when posting has real, specific content for it. No filler like "commensurate with experience". No Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. We need to parse the description. The description includes: - Intro paragraph about team members, culture, etc. That's "About the role" maybe. - Then "As assigned by the Director of Perfusion Services and under the direction of the primary surgeon, the perfusionist shall set-up and operate such devices as the heart lung machine for bypass procedures, ventricular assists devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and the autotransfusion device. He/she will also provide surgical back-up for procedures performed in the catheterization lab. This list of duties shall not be considered totally inclusive of all services provided." That's duties. - Then "Responsibilties A day in the life of a Perfusionist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:" then a long list of responsibilities (each bullet starts with "Under the guidelines..." etc). This is a list. - Then "Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. A minimum of a degree in perfusion technology, other related science, or equivalent. Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred 3 years of clinical perfusion experience. Licenses And Certifications Required Perfusionist License or NJ Perfusionist Temporary License. Licenses And Certifications Preferred Certified in Cardiovascular Perfusion." - Then "Contacts Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors." - Then "If you feel the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!" (application instruction, we should remove). - Then "HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package." - Then "Job Duties The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may be different than the posted rate of pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to: Labor Market Data: Compensation is benchmarked against market data to ensure competitiveness. Experience: Years of relevant work experience. Education and Certifications: Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training. Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies. Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location. Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization. Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts. In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits." - Then "Minimum rate of $91,832.00 Annually" Thus we have pay info: Minimum rate $91,832 annually. Also mention benefits package. Thus we can include sections: About the role (intro paragraph), Responsibilities (list), Qualifications (education, experience, licenses), Benefits (comprehensive benefits package), Pay (minimum rate). Possibly also Skills? The qualifications already include skills. Could separate Skills but not needed. We must not create sections with filler. So we include only those with content. We need to format: Use
for section headings. Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose. We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. So remove "If you feel the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!" Also remove the HMH pay equity paragraph? That is about pay transparency; it's substantive? It mentions pay equity and transparency, but it's more legal. Might be considered boilerplate? The instruction says remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. That paragraph is about pay equity and transparency, which is legal. Might be considered boilerplate. However it's also providing info about pay transparency act. Might be considered legal. Safer to remove? The instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So yes, remove legal boilerplate. So remove the HMH committed to pay equity paragraph. Also remove the "Job Duties" paragraph that explains starting rate of pay etc. That's also legal/compensation explanation. Might be considered boilerplate? It's about compensation details. Might be considered legal? Not sure. But we have pay info already: Minimum rate $91,832.00 Annually. The rest is explanation; could be considered boilerplate. Safer to remove that paragraph as it's legal/explanatory. Keep only the concrete pay figure. Also remove duplicated lines: there may be duplicates like "Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:" and "Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Preferred". We'll keep both as part of qualifications. Now construct HTML. Sections:

We could also make a list for qualifications but the instruction says use- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Qualifications could be considered requirements; we could make a list. However the content is not naturally a list; but we could break into items. However we must preserve all substantive information; using
is fine. The instruction says use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. If we treat qualifications as a list, we could do
- ... but we have multiple sentences. Might be okay to keep as
. Safer to follow instruction: if it's a list, use ul; otherwise p. The qualifications are not explicitly a list; we can keep as
. Now Benefits section: we have "In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits." That's substantive. So we add:
Benefits
- Health insurance
- Dental insurance
- Vision insurance
- Paid leave
- Tuition reimbursement
- Retirement benefits
- ... but we have multiple sentences. Might be okay to keep as
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. If we treat qualifications as a list, we could do
