About the Role
This is a remote position for a Software Quality Engineer with a strong focus on Performance and Load Testing.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Software Quality Engineering experience, including 3–4+ years focused on Performance and Load Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter, and Splunk.
- Ability to build and maintain reusable, parameterized performance test suites from scratch.
Skills
- Strong programming/scripting experience in Java, Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
- Solid understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, web services, and microservices.
- Experience testing asynchronous, message-driven, or event-driven applications.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring/APM tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
- Strong knowledge of performance engineering concepts, including throughput, concurrency, response-time percentiles, latency, scalability, and bottleneck analysis.
- Experience identifying and troubleshooting performance issues related to JVM/GC, thread pools, connection pools, databases, caching, and application infrastructure.
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments and analyzing system-level metrics.
