Performance Marketing Advisor
About the role
The Head of Performance Marketing at a Series-A funded sports betting startup is seeking a Performance Marketing Advisor. The role involves meeting weekly with the Head of Performance Marketing, reviewing data, discussing strategy, running audits, pressure-testing budgets and strategies, advising on MMM implementation, and providing insights on various channels.
Responsibilities
- Meet weekly with our Head of Performance Marketing to review data and discuss strategy
- Run your own audits of our performance
- Pressure-test budgets, forecasts, and strategies across paid channels
- Advises on MMM implementation and incrementality testing
- Reviews launch plans for new channels
- Advise on expanding beyond paid social into channels like CTV, podcasts, OOH
- Provide a POV on app attribution, marketing tech, and tagging as we expand into web
Requirements
- Owned all performance marketing for other early and growth stage startups
- Deep consumer mobile expertise - driving app downloads from a consumer audience
- Overseen budgets of at least $300K/mo
- Extremely current knowledge of in-platform execution across Meta and other major social channels
- Either done ad buys yourself or directly managed a team doing it within the last 12 months
- Diversified media spend beyond paid social and into other channel types: podcasts, paid search, OOH, CTV, etc.
- Can be based anywhere in the world, but must be able to work typical USA hours
Nice-to-haves
- Experience implementing MMM and incrementality testing
- Worked in regulated industries (fintech, sports betting, gambling) or with male-dominated audiences
- Experience with web attribution (pixels, tags, cookies)
Qualifications
You must have deep consumer mobile expertise, including driving app downloads from a consumer audience, overseeing budgets of at least $300K/mo, and having extremely current knowledge of in-platform execution across Meta and other major social channels. You must either have done ad buys yourself or directly managed a team doing it within the last 12 months, and have diversified media spend beyond paid social and into other channel types such as podcasts, paid search, OOH, CTV, etc.
Skills
Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work independently are essential. Experience in performance marketing, especially in regulated industries, is highly valued.
Benefits
Remote work in USA time zones only, with a flexible schedule of 2-5 hours per week.

$150 - $250/hr
