Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating structured one-hour life skills workshops (public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange) for elementary and middle school cohorts (K-8), executing Alpha's established playbook rather than creating content
- Conducting motivation sessions that leverage student performance data and Alpha's incentive architecture (campus currency, ranking systems) to achieve 100% goal attainment
- Coaching Guides on adherence to program standards and expectations, ensuring each session generates specific performance improvement steps
- Carrying your own student cohort while simultaneously developing Guide capabilities
- Monitoring student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide effectiveness indicators on a weekly basis to identify performance gaps early
Basic Requirements
- Available for on-campus work at one of these locations: Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation assistance available)
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or equivalent capacity
- Demonstrated history of managing a team of 5 or more adults, with direct involvement in hiring and performance-related termination choices
- Hands-on experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational or developmental contexts
- Documented use of quantitative metrics and data to establish weekly objectives and inform decisions, beyond simple reporting
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related area
- Background coaching sports teams, leading outdoor or experiential education programs, managing camps, or directing youth ministry at sufficient scale to require cohort management and outcome measurement
- Transitioned from classroom instruction to program development or operations roles in EdTech, tutoring enterprises, youth-focused nonprofits, or school support teams
- Early-career evidence of exceptional individual achievement — in academics, athletics, or professional settings — prior to leadership roles
- Conviction that traditional education systems require fundamental redesign and personal motivation to contribute to that transformation
