Perception Engineer Intern (Summer 2027)

Andrenam builds sonar and sensing systems for maritime environments. The Perception Engineer Intern will develop and test algorithms that turn sonar and other sensor data into actionable information, evaluate performance on real-world data, and support software integration. Responsibilities Help develop, test, and improve perception algorithms using sonar and other sensor data, with guidance from the teamOwn a scoped project that supports our core perception pipelineWork with real data collected from our systems in the fieldEvaluate algorithm performance against real-world data and help identify where it falls shortSupport integration of perception software with the rest of our systemsTroubleshoot issues and work with the team to understand root cause and fixesWork closely with our engineers, taking feedback and iterating quicklyShare progress clearly and ask questions earlyDocument your work, results, and decisions so the team can build on it after your internship
