Perception Engineer: GPU Engineering

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to deploy computer vision algorithms and deep learning models to GPUs.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and libraries to further enhance perception system performance on the target hardware.
- Develop training materials and provide supervision/guidance to junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Deep understanding of computer architecture, and familiarity with the fundamentals of GPU architecture.
- 8+ years experience of strong programming and software design skills in C++, especially in low latency or real-time environments.
- 5+ years experience with parallel computing/programming.
- 5+ years experience with GPU programming / optimization using CUDA or similar technologies.
Preferences
- Experience in software performance benchmarking, profiling, and optimizations.
- Experience with GPU optimization techniques: memory coalescing, register/shared memory tiling, pinned memory, and warp-level programming.
- Experience with GPU libraries: CUB, CUTLASS, Thrust, or Eigen.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks/compiler/library such as TensorRT, PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime.
