About the role

Make an Impact! Blend your skills as a strong communicator and educator to become a Staff Pharmacist. Being detail oriented & having the ability to communicate and educate healthcare providers and patients is essential to the Staff Pharmacist role. You will interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients of MLHS and consult with necessary healthcare professionals as necessary to optimize drug therapy. Use your leadership skills to supervise activities of Technicians to assure accurate compounding and dispensing of medications and timely drug administration. Support the healthcare team by providing drug information and guidance related to appropriate and cost effective drug therapy.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients of MLHS and consult with necessary healthcare professionals as necessary to optimize drug therapy.
• Supervise activities of Technicians to assure accurate compounding and dispensing of medications and timely drug administration.
• Support the healthcare team by providing drug information and guidance related to appropriate and cost effective drug therapy.

Requirements

• One year of work in hospital Pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred.
• Work history with good to excellent record in organization, accuracy, quality and quantity of work and attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
• Clinical clerkships, residencies and specialties in hospital-oriented environments preferred.

$64.00 - $75.00

Per Diem; every other weekend (Sat and Sun) day or evening shift plus one holiday per year
