About the role
We are seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses to work per diem shifts in hospital settings within Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain precise electronic medical records
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols
- Educate patients and families about care and discharge plans
- Adapt to various hospital units and environments
Qualifications and Skills
- Active Virginia RN License
- At least 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- Additional credentials as required by facilities
Schedule
- Flexible schedule with options for 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts
- Work as little as one shift per month or build a full schedule
