Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) - PICC Nurse

About the role

This is a Per Diem role with a minimum commitment of only 4 scheduled shifts per month. As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues and facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting, providing a unique opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges.

Responsibilities

• Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs with ultrasound and use ECG confirmation.
• Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices.
• Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.
• Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines, and other CVADs.
• Travel to customer facilities to fulfill scheduling requirements based on business needs.

Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current license.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care preferred.
• American Heart BLS Certification.
• Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs.
• Experience with other vascular access device (VAD) placements using ultrasound.
• Experience in vascular access device management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently.
• Possess a current and valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Must possess a smartphone.
• Access to reliable transportation for travel to patient sites.

Pay

Compensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications. Hourly pay range: $65 USD - $75 USD.
