Per Diem Registered Nurse - Medical Imaging

About the Role

The Per Diem RN in Medical Imaging provides direct patient care in imaging settings, ensuring patient safety and comfort while assisting with procedures such as CT, MR, US, Radiography, and Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and technologists during imaging procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide health education
• Handle specimens and perform technical supportive care (e.g., IV insertion, EKG, respiratory care)
• Manage infection control and maintain a safe environment
• Document and communicate test results accurately
• Maintain imaging equipment and uphold patient rights
• Participate in performance improvement and safety standards
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Graduate of an approved RN program
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
• Competency in equipment use, CPR, oxygen administration, IV therapy, and CRT
• Strong communication skills
• Availability for a minimum of 8 shifts per month

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• ACLS certification
• Specialty certifications in imaging or related fields
• Prior experience in imaging settings
• Proficiency in Windows and Radiology Information Systems (RIS)

Pay

Hourly compensation ranges from $29 to $63.
