Per Diem Programme Facilitator ILE (Counsellor) - Yale & Barnard

Position details

Location: Yale University
Pay: $17/ per hour
Schedule: On-call / Per Diem (as-needed to cover staffing gaps; shifts include days, evenings, and weekends)
Session Dates: Session 1: June 28th – July 11th
Session 2: July 12th – July 25th

Key Responsibilities

• Student Safety & Supervision: Chaperone international students on and off-campus, including during excursions and airport transfers.
• Activity Leadership: Lead, support, and engage students in recreational activities, workshops, and evening events.
• Pastoral Care: Act as a campus resource and mentor, addressing student concerns and maintaining a supportive environment.
• Admin Support: Assist with daily attendance, activity registers, and brief incident reporting.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Current graduate student (or recently completed degree).
• Experience: Prior experience working with teens (ages 16–18). Camp counselor, residential life (RA), or mentoring experience is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative team mindset.
• Pluses: First Aid certification and familiarity with the Yale or Barnard/Columbia campuses.
