About the role
Select Specialty Hospital-Tulsa is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. The Physical Therapist plays a central role in offering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
- Promoting continuous quality improvement in patient care.
- Teaching and counseling patients and families about their conditions and treatments.
- Setting and implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
- Participating in discharge planning, including patient/family education and adaptive equipment provision.
- Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and PT/PTA students.
- Developing and executing individual patient therapy regimens.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
- Attending and participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Certified BLS or completion of BLS training within the first 90 days of employment.
