Per Diem Physician Assistant - Internal Medicine - NYP/Allen Hospital

About the Role

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, ranked #1 in New York by U.S. News (America's Best Hospitals 2020-2021), seeks an enthusiastic Per Diem Physician Assistant to join our autonomous and cohesive team. In this role, you will take a front-line position on our general medical floor and stepdown units, working closely with attending physicians and fellow PAs to provide exceptional care for a diverse adult inpatient population.

You will perform a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for patient admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome evaluation. This position offers the opportunity to work with a high case mix index while achieving some of the nation’s best outcomes, all within an Ivy League medical center.

Responsibilities

• Admit, assess, diagnose, treat, and follow up on patients in a general medical floor and stepdown setting.
• Perform technical procedures required for patient care.
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians and fellow Physician Assistants to ensure high-quality care.
• Participate in performance improvement and educational activities.
• Manage a wide variety of adult inpatient cases, including geriatrics, digestive diseases, vascular, neurology, pulmonary, cardiac, and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• NYS licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• NCCPA certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of inpatient internal medicine experience.

Pay

Salary Range: $100.00/hourly.

Schedule

Rotating shift (on-site presence required; employees must live within a commutable distance to NYP).
