Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant

About the role

A school physical therapist assistant helps students with disabilities improve their physical function and participate fully in their education, including developing IEPs, providing therapy, and collaborating with school staff and families at the direction of the School Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peers
• Encourage and engage students of all levels
• Communicate with students, families, and the community
• Conduct screenings and assessments
• Provide direct and indirect therapy services
• Collaborate and consult with school teams and families
• Support students with complex or multiple disabilities
• Work with early childhood and preschool populations
• Participate in home visits and collaborate with medical providers
• Provide services to students PreK through age 22

Qualifications

• CT State license required (PTA)
• Must be able to:
• Communicate with students, families, and the community

Pay

Hourly rate of $38

Schedule

Maximum of ten (10) hours per week.
