Per Diem Phlebotomy Team Lead - Inpatient

Description
Leads and participates in a small team providing phlebotomy services to patients at a lab site. Ensures adherence to standards and policies. Trains new employees as assigned. Captures data, audits processes and reports selected metrics to management.
Education
- Minimum High school diploma
- PREFERRED Phlebotomy Training or Phlebotomy Technical School Credentials/Licensure
- Minimum ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (or other accrediting agency), or certification must obtain within 3 months of hire date.
Experience
- Minimum Six months of phlebotomy experience.
- PREFERRED One year of phlebotomy experience at MHSM.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and clerical skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Computer Competency Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
Physical/Mental
- Sitting for long periods of time;
- mobile;
- bending, stooping and reaching above head and lifting and carrying as part of daily responsibilities.
- Keyboard, repetitive tasks of typing and phone use.
