Per Diem Phlebotomy Team Lead - Inpatient

Shift

Rotating Shift

Description

Leads and participates in a small team providing phlebotomy services to patients at a lab site. Ensures adherence to standards and policies. Trains new employees as assigned. Captures data, audits processes and reports selected metrics to management.

Education

• Minimum High school diploma
• PREFERRED Phlebotomy Training or Phlebotomy Technical School Credentials/Licensure
• Minimum ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (or other accrediting agency), or certification must obtain within 3 months of hire date.

Experience

• Minimum Six months of phlebotomy experience.
• PREFERRED One year of phlebotomy experience at MHSM.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and clerical skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer Competency: Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.

Physical/Mental

• Minimum: Sitting for long periods of time; mobile; bending, stooping and reaching above head and lifting and carrying as part of daily responsibilities.
• Keyboard, repetitive tasks of typing and phone use.
