Per Diem Pharmacy Technician

As a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician, you'll support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

About the role

This is a per diem position working on an as-needed basis to cover PTO, callouts, and other business needs. Location hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm with a lunch break from 12:30pm to 1:00pm. The position is based at 308 Quincy St. Suite 100, Rapid City, SD 57701.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Assist the Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of South Dakota
• Ability to work onsite at 308 Quincy St. Suite 100, Rapid City, SD 57701 with a per diem schedule
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous technician experience
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification

Pay

The hourly pay for this role ranges from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment, determined by factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
