Scope of Responsibilities
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy department.
- Aids in the training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
- Relying on experience and professional judgment, plans and accomplishes assigned tasks and goals.
Responsibilities
- Fulfills the Noble Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients.
- Supports the fulfillment of specialty or niche distribution products.
- Obtains and maintains licensure in other states as required.
- Provides support and guidance to patients as part of Noble’s Clinical Management Programs.
- Ensures compliance with all Noble policies and procedures.
- Participates in after-hours/on-call rotation as required.
- Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
- Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines.
- Follows all State and Federal guidelines governing the practice of Pharmacy.
- Maintains and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
- Oversees the transmitting, processing, and receiving of orders to and from the Noble Warehouse and additional suppliers as needed.
- Oversees the checking of pharmacy inventory for outdates and processing of all returns.
- Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
- Ensures compliance with all rules and regulations pertaining to Mississippi, New York State, and all other states that prescriptions are dispensed and delivered to.
- Ensures in-store pharmacy technology is being used to its fullest potential to ensure a maximum return on investment of the technology and life span.
- Ensures outstanding customer service is always exhibited by all employees.
- Ensures all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and reports deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention.
- Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to ensure a clean and professional environment.
- Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions.
- Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
- Facilitates communication between professional staff and Noble personnel.
- Affords assistance in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines.
- Affords assistance in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel.
- Interfaces with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed.
- Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum: BS degree in Pharmacy
- PREFERRED: PharmD degree in Pharmacy
