About the role
Work Schedule: Per diem Registered Nurses must work a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours per six (6) week scheduling period in direct patient care. As applicable to operations, one shift should be an evening, night, weekend or holiday shift.
Responsibilities
- Connect and form therapeutic relationships with oncology patients
- Provide education and support to patients receiving chemotherapy
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients during their treatment
- Participate in ongoing oncology educational and growth opportunities
Requirements
- Graduate of school of nursing
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Required: 6 months of RN experience
- Preferred: Relevant Inpatient RN experience, Ambulatory experience, Relevant oncology experience, Chemotherapy experience, Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills
- Required: Current CPR/BLS certification
- Preferred: Certification in specialty area of practice
Qualifications
- Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact
