Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compelling, accurate, and visually engaging hard news stories across all FOX 29 newscasts.
- Maintain a strong, dynamic, and professional live presence on the scene, breaking down complex stories clearly for our viewers.
- Story Generation: Enterprise original story ideas, develop local contacts, and investigate breaking news.
- Schedule Flexibility: Adapt to a highly flexible schedule to support the newsroom across various dayparts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of professional on-air news reporting experience.
- Market Track Record: Proven track record as a hard news Reporter/Anchor in a Top 50 market, with previous experience covering major stories in medium-to-large markets.
- Education: Four-year college degree is preferred.
- Skills: Exceptional storytelling ability, strong journalistic ethics, sharp ad-libbing skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
