Per Diem MRI Technologist - Beverly Hills

Performing MRI Procedures

• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient information and examination details.

Equipment Management

• Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI equipment.
• Produce high-quality technical images.
• Review completed exams for quality and completeness.
• Identify and troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.

Quality Assurance

• Practice and employ ALARA principles for all patients and members.
• Complete and review QC sheets accurately.

Supervision and Leadership

• Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI equipment.
• Review schedule for any gaps in coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems required.
• 5-10 years of MRI experience, previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be a graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
• Certified and in good standing: ARRT (MR).
• Current California State License (CRT).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Yearly MRI Safety Certification (Level 2) required.
• Commitment: Ability to work extended hours or emergency shifts if necessary to maintain safe department coverage.
• Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies. Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth.
• IV certification preferred or by completion of 6-months' orientation.
• MRSO/ MRSE certification from American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety.
