Performing MRI Procedures

  • Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
  • Absorb responsibilities for designated areas of MRI equipment, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
  • Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.
  • Pursue ALARA principles for all patients and members.
  • Ensure all Quality Control (QC) sheets are completed accurately.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient and registered/certified in MRI (ARRT).
  • High school diploma plus a degree from a 2-year AMA-approved Radiology school.
  • NY State DOH Registration as Radiologic Technologist.
  • NYS DOH Certification for Injection preferred.
  • Independently perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols.
  • Maintain proper quality control procedures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams, safety, and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Open to weekend coverage as needed.

Compensation

$80-100/hr
