Performing MRI Procedures
- Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
- Absorb responsibilities for designated areas of MRI equipment, producing high-quality technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
- Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.
- Pursue ALARA principles for all patients and members.
- Ensure all Quality Control (QC) sheets are completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be proficient and registered/certified in MRI (ARRT).
- High school diploma plus a degree from a 2-year AMA-approved Radiology school.
- NY State DOH Registration as Radiologic Technologist.
- NYS DOH Certification for Injection preferred.
- Independently perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols.
- Maintain proper quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams, safety, and equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Open to weekend coverage as needed.
Compensation
$80-100/hr
