Per Diem Counselor and Educator
About the role
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides HIV counseling, education and testing to all clients requesting such services. Enters all required data on line. Completes all required DOH client forms, records and statistical reports. Provides crisis intervention and appropriate referrals to clients on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
- Completion of two to three years of occupationally-specific education beyond high school or an Associates degree
- Two to three years of previous work related experience
- Three to six months of on the job training and orientation
- Certification required as a HIV Educator/Tester by the State of New Jersey

Pay and Schedule
- Pay transparency: St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
