About the role
The certified nurse midwife at Olympic Medical Center manages a caseload of obstetrical and gynecological patients following midwifery practice protocols. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, and promoting midwifery services.
Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
- Supports and promotes a positive image of midwifery, obstetrical care, and Olympic Medical Center.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Nurse Midwifery program and certified by WA State OR Master of Science in Nursing, Masters of Nursing, or equivalent Nurse Practitioner Degree.
- Two years of experience in nurse midwifery preferred.
- Antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and well woman care experience preferred.
- C-section first assist experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State RN Licensure and current Washington State ARNP with prescriptive authority in Washington State OR Current Washington State PA-C Licensure and prescriptive authority.
- Current DEA registration required.
- BLS Certification required within 30 days of hire.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload of patients.
- Knowledge of midwifery practices and obstetrics.
