Responsibilities

  • Obtain IV access and administer specialty infusions as prescribed.
  • Access PICC lines and ports.
  • Perform PICC line insertion, care, and maintenance, including sterile dressing changes, flushing protocols, and complication prevention in a home care setting.
  • Administer and monitor complex IV and infusion therapies via PICC lines while ensuring patient safety, education, and compliance with Joint Commission and state guidelines.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in accordance with professional standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Liaise between patients, physicians, and pharmacies as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
  • Remain compliant and follow strict guidelines.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Nursing is required.
  • Excellent IV skills and PICC line insertion & maintenance are required.
  • Previous experience in a home health or acute care setting is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
