PEPI: Senior Director, Operations & Manufacturing (OPEN TO ALL U.S. LOCATIONS)

About the role

A&M is a global consulting firm focusing on serving middle market and large cap private equity firms. Our team assists these firms in improving operating results at their portfolio companies through structured and disciplined approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead multifaceted manufacturing and supply chain engagements to evaluate, identify, and implement operational and financial performance improvements.
• Lead performance improvement turnarounds and transformations, including factory footprint optimization, make vs. buy strategies, and pre-acquisition operations due diligence.
• Drive business growth by delivering best-in-class client engagements and results, leveraging senior relationships, and collaborating with the global A&M PEPI team and other service lines.
• Advising private equity firms to ensure their portfolio companies have credible performance improvement programs and the capability to execute and deliver the required financial results.

Requirements

• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy with a minimum of 15 years of a successful track record.
• Blend of manufacturing operational and commercial skills, preferably with networks across the Private Equity community.
• Effective communication skills to engage with leadership teams, both Private Equity and Portfolio company, in high-pressure situations.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities, quality checking financial and operational models.
• Experience in leading teams, managing multiple stakeholders, and driving results around executable solutions.
• Integrity-driven with the ability to build confidence and lead by example.
• Regular travel, up to 80%.
