About the role

This role is within Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, focusing on the Sports, Media, and Entertainment (SM&E) sector. Professionals in this role partner with investors, operators, and corporate stakeholders to assess M&A opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive value creation throughout the investment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key client business issues and own key client deliverables
  • Oversee workstreams and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Support client needs with innovative approaches and expert Excel skills
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders and translate complex analytics into clear insights
  • Maintain and coordinate key client deliverables throughout the engagement
  • Provide informal leadership by coordinating workstreams, aligning priorities, and supporting team development

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, with a focus on SM&E
  • Experience in integration/separation planning and execution a plus
  • MBA preferred
  • Eager to learn about core operations of SM&E
  • Strong initiative and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time

Qualifications

  • Technical and analytical toolkit including advanced financial modeling
  • Expert Excel skills for structuring and analyzing large, complex datasets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for leading client interactions and presenting findings
  • Ability to work independently and contribute to high-profile transactions shaping the SM&E industry

Benefits

The salary range is $100,000 - $170,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
