About the role
This role is within Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice, focusing on the Sports, Media, and Entertainment (SM&E) sector. Professionals in this role partner with investors, operators, and corporate stakeholders to assess M&A opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive value creation throughout the investment lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Identify key client business issues and own key client deliverables
- Oversee workstreams and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Support client needs with innovative approaches and expert Excel skills
- Present findings to senior stakeholders and translate complex analytics into clear insights
- Maintain and coordinate key client deliverables throughout the engagement
- Provide informal leadership by coordinating workstreams, aligning priorities, and supporting team development
Requirements
- 4-6+ years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, with a focus on SM&E
- Experience in integration/separation planning and execution a plus
- MBA preferred
- Eager to learn about core operations of SM&E
- Strong initiative and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time
Qualifications
- Technical and analytical toolkit including advanced financial modeling
- Expert Excel skills for structuring and analyzing large, complex datasets
- Strong oral and written communication skills for leading client interactions and presenting findings
- Ability to work independently and contribute to high-profile transactions shaping the SM&E industry
Benefits
The salary range is $100,000 - $170,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
