Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the technical upgrade of PeopleSoft applications to 9.2 and PeopleTools to the latest supported 8.5x release.
- Design and build out project environments (DEV, TEST, QA, UAT, PROD) in support of the upgrade lifecycle.
- Arcitect and implement infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions to streamline environment provisioning and configuration management.
- Lead cloud modernization efforts, including migration and optimization of PeopleSoft infrastructure on AWS.
- Apply PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) and Deployment Packages (DPK) to manage patching, updates, and environment builds.
- Administer and tune WebLogic and Tuxedo application server components across all environments.
- Support and configure Integration Broker for inbound/outbound integrations impacted by the upgrade.
- Utilize Chef (or similar configuration management tools) for automated server configuration and environment consistency.
- Partner with functional teams, developers, and testers to support system testing, regression testing, and performance testing throughout the upgrade cycle.
- Plan and execute cutover activities, production deployment, and go-live support.
- Provide post-go-live stabilization support for a defined hypercare period following implementation.
- Provide strategic architecture guidance and hands-on technical execution across the full upgrade lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering multiple PeopleSoft 9.2 / PeopleTools modernization or upgrade programs end-to-end.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud modernization projects.
- Deep proficiency with: PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), Deployment Packages (DPK), WebLogic application server administration, Tuxedo transaction processing administration, Integration Broker configuration and troubleshooting, Chef or comparable configuration management/automation tools, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices and tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic/architectural level and a hands-on technical execution level.
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft environment architecture, upgrade methodology, and cutover planning.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, functional, and testing teams.
- Experience supporting production go-live and post-go-live stabilization activities.
