About the role

Participate in development activities for UCPath, the PeopleSoft HCM ERP system, focusing on Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition Management, and ePerformance. Collaborate with core development teams, subject matter experts, and campus project teams to deliver enhancements compliant with industry and application best practices. Prepare and approve system and programming documentation, set technical requirements for complex software specifications, and enforce programming security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop defect-free enhancements and apply advanced software concepts to design, modify, debug, deploy, and evaluate highly complex software for functional areas.
• Analyze existing software or formulate logic and algorithms for new systems, performing highly complex data analysis and testing.
• Initiate, analyze, design, and apply highly complex data sources while enforcing programming security practices.
• Provide advanced production support, including on-call services, issue triage, and resolution of system defects.
• Review processes, analyze and fix system data, and work directly with customers to resolve issues.
• Design new solutions to address recurring system defects and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Write clear and concise technical documentation, including system and programming documentation.
• Develop and maintain PeopleSoft Application Engine programs, Component Interfaces, Fluid pages, Integration Broker services, and custom reports.
• Improve Fluid UI components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to enhance end-user accessibility and navigation.
• Develop conversion and system implementation plans, author technical design specifications, and create test plans.
• Prepare configuration strategies, manage object migration with STAT/PHIRE, and determine automated and manual methods.

Requirements

• At least 7+ years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM 9.x, including extensive work on at least 2 large-scale system implementation projects involving large user bases and multiple locations.
• Advanced experience designing and developing solutions for PeopleSoft HCM modules: Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition Management, and ePerformance, with deep knowledge of the PeopleSoft HCM data model.
• Strong experience with Application Engine, SQL, PL/SQL, and PeopleSoft development tools (e.g., Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, Fluid pages).
• Hands-on experience with Fluid technology, Tiles, Related Content, Event Mapping, and Page Field Configurator.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web development tools for enhancing Fluid UI components.
• Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and align systems to support those needs.
• Proven experience in authoring technical design specifications and test plans.
• Strong collaboration, analytical, and teamwork skills, with demonstrated project leadership and software management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical personnel at all organizational levels.
