About the role
The IT Business Analyst defines needs and opportunities and recommends solutions that deliver value to the organization. Collaborates with business and technical teams to define and document product and project requirements, translates high-level business requirements into functional and technical specifications, and manages changes to those specifications. Develops and manages the project test plan based on project requirements.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes problems and opportunities effectively and identifies recommended changes that deliver the most value.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand the impact of changes and create business cases.
- Facilitates team collaboration with business and technical partners to understand current-state processes, identify challenges and opportunities, establish target-state processes, and determine project requirements and approach.
- Builds or assists in building test plans based on defined requirements and use cases to ensure project outcomes meet objectives.
- Assists with User Acceptance Test (UAT) efforts and validation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, business management, management information or computer systems, or a related field.
- Three years of experience managing the requirements lifecycle, assessing project requirements, managing test plans, and developing technical solutions, or seven years of any combination of education, experience, and training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Business Analysis.
- Three or more years as a Business Analyst or related work experience.
- Experience with Agile and other Project Management methodologies.
- Experience creating statements of work, vendor evaluation, and managing contractor resources.
- Experience using Project Management tools such as MS Project, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
