About the role
The role of People & Talent Lead at Passionfroot is unique. This is the first such role, designed to own both the talent machine and the people foundation underneath it. The company is a category-defining product with top-tier VC backing, 13x YoY growth, profitability, and a customer list that includes Replit, Figma, and LumaAI.
Responsibilities
- Build and run the hiring function end-to-end
- Partner with founders and hiring managers on hiring plans and role prioritization
- Drive hiring across key functions including go-to-market, growth, and product/engineering
- Create a strong candidate experience from first touch through day one
- Help train the team to become strong interviewers and talent spotters
- Build the foundations of the recruiting machine so hiring becomes scalable and repeatable
- Own onboarding - design a world-class experience for every new hire across all geographies
- Manage payroll and partner on compensation processes, including cross-border employment setup and compliance
- Drive culture - own team rituals, values reinforcement, and employee engagement initiatives as we scale
- Build the people foundations (leveling, policies, handbook, tooling) that a growing multi-geo team needs
Requirements
- Strong talent acquisition background in high-growth startups
- Experience scaling a company through a similar stage of growth
- Comfortable hiring across multiple geographies, ideally US and Europe; Brazil exposure is a plus
- Strong judgment on talent quality, especially in New York go-to-market hiring
- Able to distinguish polish from substance in highly competitive markets
- Hands-on operator who is happy building from scratch
- Strong communicator who can represent the company credibly and compellingly
- High ownership and ability to operate with speed
- Bridges between talent acquisition and people operations
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in a related field
- Proven track record of building and running successful hiring functions
- Experience managing global teams and processes
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and executives
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with ATS systems and tools
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
