About the role
The role sits at the center of how Magic Leap's People Team is reinventing itself, replacing manual workflows with automated, scalable solutions and building the data infrastructure that enables the team to operate more leanly and think bigger. We are seeking a specialist with significant technical proficiency, rather than a generalist.
Responsibilities
- HR Data & Analytics Architect and sustain data infrastructure across HR platforms to guarantee uniform, dependable workforce information, functioning as the organization's single source of truth.
- Collaborate with Finance and People Team executives to provide customized workforce insights (covering metrics like performance, pay, turnover, and staffing) to aid in strategic planning and operational business reviews.
- Leverage predictive analytics to forecast future hiring needs, identify skill gaps, and inform the long-term talent strategy.
- Create a comprehensive HR data glossary that establishes standardized logic and calculation methods to serve as the team's definitive reference.
- Leverage workforce analytics to perform comprehensive evaluations of full-lifecycle workflows, including total rewards, recruitment pipelines, learning and development, and employee exits, to proactively detect and address compliance vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with data engineering or data pipeline development, including SQL, Python, BigQuery, Dataform, ETL tools, or similar.
- Demonstrated project management capability, including owning end-to-end program delivery, building and maintaining project plans, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and driving initiatives from current-state operations through to scaled, productized solutions.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors, Bob, or similar), including system configuration and administration.
- Experience with Zendesk for HR service delivery and ticket management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in technical program management, data analytics, people operations, or HR systems roles.
Skills
- Experience with Bob, Culture Amp, Zendesk, Pave, and HR Acuity platforms.
- Experience with HR system integrations or API-based data connections.
- Familiarity with workforce planning methodologies or compensation frameworks.
- Exposure to automation tools such as Workato, Zapier, or Google AppSheet.
- Experience with AI-driven process automation, including emerging approaches to multi-step workflow automation.
