People Programs, Strategy, & Operations Director

For our client, we are seeking a People Programs, Strategy, & Operations Director to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This leader will oversee the operating model for the People function and help shape how the team plans, executes, and measures its most important work. The role will partner closely with senior People leaders and cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, IT, and other teams to support key HR processes and strategic initiatives. With a strong focus on operational rigor, scalable systems, and continuous improvement, this position will drive efficient execution and help advance a thoughtful, inclusive employee experience. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $201,000 – $246,000 annually Responsibilities Own the operating model for the People team, including cross-functional cadences and reporting systems Lead planning and execution of key HR processes like compensation cycles and performance reviews Drive key transformation and strategic projects for People leadership Manage project intake and operational support across People sub-teams Identify and implement AI and automation improvements in People workflows Serve as the operational connector between the People team and other functions like Finance and IT Oversee documentation and knowledge management for the People team's playbooks and processes Qualifications 7+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or related fields Proven experience building scalable HR infrastructure and programs Strong change management skills Ability to manage cross-functional work with senior stakeholders Proficient in leveraging data for strategic solutions Passionate about fostering inclusive organizational culture Systems thinker who can balance a broad perspective with execution Benefits Remote work flexibility with occasional travel to HQ Equity opportunities Comprehensive benefits package Focus on creating an inclusive and healthy workplace culture Engagement in high-impact transformation projects Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
