Responsibilities
- Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention;
- Driving change as a proactive and valued member of the function’s management team driving strategic plans and objectives across their geographic area;
- Being a trusted partner and initiating and maintaining effective communications with management and employees;
- providing coaching and guidance on matters related to performance management, offering feedback on style and behaviors to improve employee productivity and engagement;
- providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Managing and resolving complex employee relation issues.
- Conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Providing guidance and input on organizational design, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Providing organizational development interventions and support including organization design, leadership transitions, enhancing communication processes and reward/recognition programs;
- Assessing organization capabilities; identifying competency and talent gaps, ensuring development of people resources; supporting talent assessment and succession planning;
- participating in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs.
- Following-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Aiding in the recruiting process in the assigned geographic areas by working with hiring managers to develop an understanding of open positions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and assisting with on-boarding new employees.
- Ensuring and maintaining the alignment of all corporate HR initiatives and programs, implementing and delivering HR programs within the assigned geographic area.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field;
- 10+ years’ experience in human resources with at least 7 years of overall Human Resource Management operating as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager supporting multiple lines of business/locations;
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, talent management, employee and labor relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws;
- Strong influencing skills with people and teams with experience operating successfully in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Relationship building, and change management skills will be essential;
- Demonstrated ability to impact organizational effectiveness and excel on high performing teams capable of delivering strategic results;
- Demonstrated strong business knowledge and capability to assess HR implications of business priorities;
- Ability to travel to assigned locations at least 60% of the time.
Physical And Environmental Requirements
- Physical Activity: Requires 1/3 to 2/3 of the time sitting and less than 1/3 of the time standing, walking, using hands and fingers, reaching, and speaking/hearing;
- Lifting: Requires lifting up to 25 pounds less than 1/3 of time;
