About the role
The Lead, People Analytics & Compensation is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading enterprise compensation operations, workforce analytics, HR data governance, and Workday optimization. This role serves as a strategic partner to Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, IT, and business leaders by delivering data-driven insights, supporting compensation governance, improving HR processes, and enabling informed workforce decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the administration and execution of enterprise compensation programs, including annual merit reviews, promotions, market adjustments, salary planning, and bonus administration.
- Configure, test, validate, and audit compensation processes within Workday while ensuring compensation data integrity and compliance.
- Develop, analyze, and present workforce analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting related to headcount, turnover, retention, hiring, compensation, and organizational effectiveness.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, IT, and business leaders to provide workforce insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Design and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting solutions while identifying opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.
- Serve as the Workday subject matter expert for reporting, compensation, and workforce analytics functionality.
- Lead testing, validation, deployment, and optimization of HRIS and compensation-related system enhancements.
- Conduct ongoing HR data audits and maintain governance standards to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, and enterprise transformation initiatives through data analysis.
- Lead cross-functional HR technology and compensation projects while influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Master's degree or professional certifications (CCP, SHRM, HRCI) are preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in Compensation, People Analytics, HRIS, Workforce Planning, or related HR disciplines.
- 5+ years of direct compensation administration experience including salary structures, market pricing, job evaluations, and annual compensation planning.
- 3+ years supporting enterprise compensation programs as a Compensation Analyst or Compensation Partner.
- Advanced experience with Workday HCM, including reporting, compensation, and analytics functionality.
- Experience creating dashboards, workforce reporting, and executive-level analytics.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Healthcare or multi-entity organization experience is preferred.
