About the role

We're looking for a knowledgeable and proactive People Advisor to join our friendly and supportive People Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse family of schools, providing high-quality employee relations and generalist HR support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, compliant and commercially sensible advice across a wide range of people matters including absence management, flexible working requests, probation, capability and disciplinary processes.
  • Work closely with school leaders and managers to support them in managing employees fairly, consistently and inclusively.
  • Support the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and organizational goals.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, complaints, and performance concerns, in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices and policies within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in HR or related field, ideally with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Desirable: CIPD qualification or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification or equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
