Job Qualifications

  • Christian Commitment: Must exemplify and model Christian behaviors and values and possess high levels of ethics, honesty and character.
  • Education/Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience for a Weekend Monitor or Support Staff. Must have a valid state driver's license and be insurable by the WRM's insurance carrier.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cover campus every hour to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with campus policies, addressing unauthorized loitering and reporting any hazards or needed repairs.
  • Approach individuals loitering or camping in unauthorized areas professionally and respectfully, guiding them to appropriate locations.
  • Respond promptly to disturbances or non-compliance, address disruptive behavior, and ensure campus policies are followed, utilizing non-violent de-escalation techniques accordingly.
  • Aid with various campus operations, including event setup, providing directions, and supporting staff and departments as needed to ensure safety of all personnel on campus.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the campus by collecting litter and preventing waste accumulation in common areas and throughout the campus.
  • Coordinate appointments for clients and transportation to and from the scheduled appointments.
  • Assist Chaplains by observing & reporting client needs, problems, etc.
  • Facilitate organization and distribution of clothing closet, facility supplies, & inventories.
  • Assist staff and clients as needed.
  • Gather confidential client information, conduct Med Call, and provide client supervision.
  • Complete Accident and Incident Reports in accurate and required manner.
  • Serve all clients and guests in a gracious, friendly, and helpful manner, complying with our Guidelines for Addressing Aggressive Clients, as well as fulfilling the AIM of Waterfront, which is To demonstrate God's goodness by providing rescue and recovery services in Jesus' name.
  • Some travel may be necessary for training & temporary duty.
  • Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other Mission management.

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills are required for this position, which include aptitude in the use of the Internet and e-mail. Basic typing skills are a must.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to use hands to manipulate; talk and listen.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.

Work Environment

  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.
  • Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
