About the role

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine is seeking a part-time, board certified Radiation Oncologist to join their multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage radiation oncology patients, including initial consultations, treatment planning, on-treatment visits, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop optimal treatment plans
  • Contour target volumes and critical structures for radiation treatment planning; review and approve treatment plans and dose distributions
  • Document patient encounters in the electronic medical record according to departmental standards
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance activities, such as chart rounds and tumor boards as scheduled
  • Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology through continued medical education
  • Participate in departmental meetings relevant to clinical responsibilities
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including maintenance of board certification (CME credits are offered through the department)

Qualifications

  • M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; DEA Licensure and Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
  • 0-1 year of work experience of related experience in a specified medical field while preferred is 2-3 years of work related experience in Radiation Oncology

Work Schedule

This position offers a part-time schedule while maintaining involvement in a leading academic radiation oncology program. Work Schedule: 2–3 days per week (16–30 hours per week).

Pay

Compensation is ultimately determined by Human Resources; however, this position is budgeted for an annualized salary range of $130,000–$350,000, which will be prorated based on the approved part-time schedule.
