PELLET MILL TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

• Analyze and determine proper set points and adjustments for the equipment.
• Perform proper process of startup and shutdown of the equipment.
• Complete a detailed shift report with the Control Room Operator.
• Engage in effective daily communication with Maintenance.
• Perform and document required inspections of equipment.
• Analyze equipment performance and make necessary tooling changes.
• Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability.
• Maintain logs and record labor, materials, and equipment used.
• Communicate equipment deficiencies to all team members and management.
• Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Participate in breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, focused improvement, and 5S projects.
• Ensure workers adhere to local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
• One year of in-plant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work independently and utilize critical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Must maintain compliance with all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, and Working at Heights policies.
• OSHA 10 Training and experience.
• Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to continuously walk or stand, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift items above shoulders.
• Ability to work outdoors, on rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds.
