Peer Tutor-PT
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Tutors students in assigned subjects.
- Participates in tutor training sessions as part of the tutor certification program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 on an accredited college transcript and earning a 4.0 in any course to be tutored.
- Tutors must have a faculty recommendation letter for each subject they tutor.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
- Work involves listening to obtain information, explaining information and concepts, building relationships, and encouraging students to persist.
- Tutors must communicate effectively in English.
Work Schedule
- Tutors work a minimum of 3 hours per week.
- Tutoring sessions are scheduled according to tutor and student availability.
- Generally, tutoring occurs during the hours that Testing/Tutoring Center is open.
- Tutors may not work more than 15 hours per week.
Compensation
$15.00 per hour
